Since 2002, TEAM Schools has been preparing Newark's students for success in college and life beyond. Today, 83% of alumni have matriculated to college and over 1,500 students are in our four schools preparing to follow in their footsteps.
This year’s TEAM annual report tracks KIPP’s “Six Essential Questions” – carefully examining how our schools are doing on everything from serving kids who need us,
to supporting them to and through college.
Please help us continue to build on our success to date – enjoy our annual report

TEAM’s college focus begins in Kindergarten and is consistent all the way through high school. Along the way, our students will visit dozens of college campuses, meet with college recruiters and are supported by a team whose focus is to get to college and then another team who supports them through college. We measure how we’re doing on this question not simply by how many of our high school seniors go to college, but by how many students who finished 8th grade with us go off to college. We hold ourselves responsible for every student who was with us in middle school, whether they went off to Exeter or moved to Georgia.
As you’ll see in Colin’s story, once our students get to college, we have stellar full-time staff members like Mr. Forde staying in touch with them, visiting them on campus and making sure they have the support they need to succeed.
