School Vision
When our students graduate, they will be prepared to compete with the nation's most talented students in competitive colleges and universities across the country. A Newark Collegiate education is marked by a rigorous curriculum that encourages critical thought that is rooted in a vigorous exchange of ideas. Having learned the habits of mind and character essential to success in life, our students will enter college prepared to serve as a scholarly, ethical, and capable author of their own destinies.
We are a community of students and teachers, responsible to each other, animated by our shared love of learning, and committed to one another. We work in partnership to help our students shape their identities, helping them to make their way along that less traveled road.
About Newark Collegiate Academy
Newark Collegiate Academy (NCA) opened in August 2007 and currently serves 420 students in grades 9-12. It will ultimately serve over 570 students, mostly matriculating from TEAM's middle schools, Rise and TEAM Academies. The quality of education received at NCA rivals the top boarding and private schools in the country. TEAM students attain a world class education right here, in and among their community.

More Than Academics
If every one of our students went on to an Ivy League school and became millionaires, but did not have compassion, did not have the resilience to overcome obstacles, did not participate in their communities, were not good role models... we would have failed them. We work every day to give our students the opportunity to exhibit their character and to feel good about doing what's right even when no one is looking. In the course of a year, NCA students meet with over 50 colleges and universities and participate in activities to build this cultural capital.
