HSPA (High School Proficiency Assessment)
High School students at NCA and throughout New Jersey take the High School Proficiency Assessment (HSPA). The scores above represent the percentage of students who are either proficient or advanced proficient. HSPA scores for Newark are for the 2010 test because 2011 results were not yet available at the time of publishing this graph. Our students this year outperformed NPS in both reading and math and matched the state’s performance in reading. New Jersey is consistently one of the three highest performing states in the country in education.
