School Vision
The vision for TEAM Academy is to be a place where students (and their families), teachers and staff can be who they aspire to be! A place where every decision is made with the intention of promoting excellence and critical thinking, and cultivating a love for learning. A place for all stakeholders not only to grow as students/parents/professionals, but as people. A place that values freedom to ensure that learning is achieved through the relentless pursuit of being better. A place that's FUN where teachers and students enjoy learning together every day. TEAM constantly looks for ways to improve the school to reach each individual student by creating a culture where teachers love teaching, set high expectations, enforce rules, and model values all in the name of student learning.
About TEAM Academy
Founded in 2002, TEAM Academy is the flagship of TEAM Schools. With 360 students in grades 5-8, TEAM is committed to ensuring that every student develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to succeed in college and beyond. Students here are a part of an supportive TEAM and family with teachers who empower them to think critically and independently, fostering discussions, debates, and strong decision making. Although over 50% of TEAM fifth graders enter reading on a 3rd grade level or below, almost all have caught up by 8th grade.

More Than Academics
TEAM in Africa is a student-run program where they learn about issues in education and world poverty through partnerships with schools in Kenya and Rwanda. In 2009, three TEAM students took a four-week trip to visit the projects they funded and raised awareness for, proving you don't have to wait until after college to "be the change you wish to see in the world." This is just one of the many examples of our "whole-student" approach to learning.
